Filling the Well in Robertson

How’s everyone? We went away this weekend to the most incredible place, called Tierhoek cottages in the Robertson valley. The pictures on the website don’t really do it justice, so here are some more, so you can see just how jaw-dropping the views and surroundings are (we stayed in Fig Tree cottage). Honestly I spent the whole weekend staring and just drinking in the silence and the beauty. We lazed about on the lawn, the kids played soccer, we went for walks, lay in the sun, visited a wine farm, went on a boat around a lake and just generally relaxed. Continue Reading…


Calling Out Into the Void

Do you ever feel a bit…pointless? Not in a family or work sort of sense, but just in terms of what you do the rest of the day (i.e in my case, blogging/writing). Lately I feel somewhat irrelevant. I keep having these thoughts and thinking: well no one is going to gain much from THAT sort of conversation because you’re too x, too y, too z.
